Clerics have great spells 1-3 (cler lever 5) but they fall off. Trickery is unfairly labeled worst bc they get a martial 8th level feature but no heavy armor/martial weapons at level 1. As a bonus action on your turn, you can move any number of them up to 30 feet, to a maximum range of 120 feet. People also overrate the 8th level feature (+1d8 melle, or + wis to cantrips). One of the best features of this combination is that both the cleric and ranger classes use wisdom for their spellcasting. The Ranger class will make the cleric better in melee, and the cleric class will allow the ranger access to heavier armor. Improved DuplicityĪt 17th level, you can create up to four duplicates of yourself, instead of one, when you use Invoke Duplicity. This is one of the more powerful multiclass Cleric builds in the 5th edition. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
